PTFE Expanded Sealing Tape
PTFE Expanded Sealing Tape is a flexible, high-performance industrial sealing material made from unsintered Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), designed to provide reliable sealing for flanges and irregular surfaces. It offers excellent chemical resistance, high thermal stability and resistance to elevated pressure in demanding industrial environments.
Expanded PTFE sealing tape and cord are resistant to chemical products and solvents, with the exception of alkali metals. The soft and flexible material makes it a practical alternative to conventional full gaskets, particularly where sealing faces are uneven or contain surface defects.
Applications & Sealing Performance
PTFE Expanded Sealing Tape is designed to replace full gaskets by slightly overlapping the tape around the sealing face of one flange before bolting the flanges together. Its flexible structure helps form a seal across irregular or defective sealing surfaces.
