PTFE material has excellent resistance for all chemical corrosion. Its friction coefficient is the lowest in plastics.

Packings made from PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) are a mainstay of the mechanical compression packing industry. PTFE is well known for its outstanding resistance to chemical attack, low coefficient of friction and wide temperature tolerance including cryogenic service.

The PTFE EXPANDED CORD has high residual thickness at time of installation and highest recovery properties. The PTFE EXPANDED CORD has a good adaptability to shafts and flange surfaces and very low sliding friction. It can be used in valves, faucet stems and etc.
